Fulham contains quite a few well known celebrities – if you are lucky you might be able to see a few of them after you’ve picked up your car from Fulham Car Hire.

If you are fan of football, you will no doubt recognise the name of the Queens Park Rangers striker, Angelo Balanta. He has lived in Fulham since his move from Colombia, going to the Hurlingham & Chelsea secondary school, before being scouted for QPR. For music fans, it is rumoured that Brian May, a guitarist for Queen, has a residence in Fulham, joined by Kelly Jones, the lead singer of UK band Stereophonics, and Johnny Rottern, lead singer in another UK band, the sex pistols.

It would be impossible not to know the names of some of the best actors who live in Fulham – Daniel Radcliffe (plays Harry Potter in the Harry Potter series of films – probably the world’s richest young person), Sir Roger Moore (a previous James Bond actor, known for his suave and sophisticated personality) and the Oscar-winning actress Dame Maggie Smith perhaps best known for her role as Mrs McGonagall in the Harry Potter series. Such big names are obviously attracted by the rich way of life of west London residence, so close to Chelsea and Kensington, where house prices can reach £50million.

Apart from all these big names, there are another 50 or so notable people living in Fulham, from writers to politicians, some of which you are bound to see whilst driving around!

If you are interested in seeing one of the richest parts of London then it is well worth a trip to Fulham. It has an interesting past because it used to be the part of London where the rich went to gamble and it became a working class area for a long time. But after much restoration it is now the most expensive place to live in London and so it is well worth taking a look at the architecture and housing if you want to see how the rick in England live. Obviously there are bigger houses but due to London being such an expensive area to live anyway then they are very pricey.

Often the houses have been concerted in to flats to make them more affordable but you will still be able to admire the house from the outside and imagine how it might have been when it was being used as a house. If you do want to have a good look around the area then you will need some transportation. It is too big to do by foot and using public transport will not necessarily take you to the best places and will also restrict how often you can stop and take photographs. It is therefore well worth hiring a car so that you can do the sightseeing at your own pace. You can stop whenever it is safe to take pictures or the passengers can take them through the windows. It is a great way to see the borough.

Lesson Learned for Fulham

Many people go on vacation to sit poolside at a luxurious resort or to enjoy some of the local entertainment without any obligation to move on at a certain time. However, since my first vacation at the age of seven, I have always been running around more than I normally do. The problem that I have is that I cannot stand to sit still when there’s so much of a new place that I haven’t gotten to experience yet. This, in turn, leads to yet another problem, visiting large metropolitan areas.

When I was twenty I took my first vacation on my own. I planned it for seven days and six nights in Seattle, Washington. This plan failed miserably. I ended up staying in town for eight days before I flew home and I still hadn’t gotten to experience everything. My biggest problem was transportation. Not being able to leave and go directly to my next destination slowed my sightseeing down by more than I ever expected.

Since then I have gone back several times to enjoy all of what Seattle and its outlying areas have to offer. At this point I have nearly experienced all that I want to in Seattle and am planning my next vacation for London. However, there will be no more mistakes of not getting a car, even though it will be a new country, I intend on driving myself everywhere. Fulham is first on my London list as it sounds like an exciting, active area with a lot to offer.
